This might be my all time favorite picture, but it’s kind of bittersweet.
It is from my late Grandfathers garden, taken during one of the last summers he was up and around, before the cancer really kicked in. I had a poster size print of this made, which I framed and gave to him. It hung above his kitchen table (it still might be there, I’m not sure).

So here’s the story:
About a week ago, a microwave appeared just inside the door of the indoor parking garage of the apartment complex. It had a handwritten signed proclaiming it was free for the taking.
A week passed. Each day I would see the microwave as I went to and from work/church/etc.
This morning something changed… the note had been removed, and a new note written: “No one wants it it’s a piece of $%^&.” To which someone else replied: “Is that necessary–it was offered! Jeez.”
For some reason I find the whole situation really amusing.
I wonder how long it will stick around before an interested party/employee/good samaritan takes care of it?

On an odd note: Apparently “Jeez” is the correct spelling (at least according to Outlook Express’ dictionary, which I use to spell check posts).

Well, I finally made it to an Indie Allies Meet-up. Despite only one other person showing up, it was good time. It was at the Chatterbox Pub which had food, was a bit smokey, but had an Atari 2600 you could play (with a huge games menu). I did not get a chance to play… maybe next time.

Does that shirt make me look fat? I think it’s just the perspective

We seem to have new neighbors upstairs. We never noticed the old ones (if there were any) but the new ones like loud hip-hop, vacuuming at odd times, and apparently, having sex while listening to very repetitive music (currently happening).
Ugh. Sometimes I miss the house, but not often
