Mixed Emotions
Can God answer prayer through a Rolling Stones song? Perhaps.
As I was getting gas at the Amoco tonight I prayed out loud (no one was around) to God about an issue I’ve been struggling with lately — you could say I have mixed emotions about the subject.
10 minutes later as I strolled the aisles of Walgreens looking for a Neti pot, I realized the muzak was actually music. The lyric that kept sticking out to me? “You’re not the only one with mixed emotions.”
An answer to prayer? Perhaps.

Yeah! Nick is buying a neti pot! Use it. Dont wait! You’ll get better really quick. Mine still kind of freaks me out, but i use it every day.
As for the Rolling stones song, I have a similar story. Except my song was the Foo Fighters “times like these”. I have had this conversation with your roomate several times. GOD can speak to us through the everyday. If he can create the universe and all that is in it, then he can speak to me through a rock-n-roll song.
Gonna go use my Neti Pot now.
