Sometimes I read one of my blog posts, or catch myself saying something super technical to a non-techie and I think to myself… “Gosh! I’m suach a geek.” Then the feeling passes and I forget my geekiness (it’s normal for me after all).
That is all.
For quite awhile I’ve been toying with the idea of using WordPress as the sole content management system for a web site. As of 1.5, WordPress is customizable (themes), has pages (static content), permalinks/SEF urls, and a WYSIWYG editing interface (using a plug-in).
That’s pretty much a basic CMS right there… and it’s free.
The guinea pig was Garden Ministries a site I built for a co-worker. it’s not a custom design (it’s a customized Wuhan: Autumn) but for the amoutn of time I spent (a few hours) to get a completely functional site up… it is, well, astoundingly complete.
